Balfour project

Custom luxury kitchen by Grolle

With the Balfour project, Grolle reaffirms its expertise in the design of high-end, fully customized kitchens. Designed for a contemporary residence in the greater Montreal area, this space features clean lines, a sober colour palette and a layout inspired by a real professional culinary workshop.

Double-level island with sliding top

  • Preparation zone: large surface area with no visible cut-outs, perfect for baking trays or serving trays.

  • Integrated sink: deep bowl with chef-style faucet and spring-loaded hand shower for efficient rinsing.

  • Full-width sliding tray: with a simple gesture, it unfolds to transform the space into a dessert or breakfast counter. Once retracted, it becomes an open shelf for everyday crockery.

Convenient invisible storage

  •  Drawers with removable dividers for cutlery and cookware.

  •  Full-height sliding block for spices and for immediate visibility of each bottle.

  • High cupboard shelves to store small appliances (mixer, food processor, toaster) and free up the main worktop.

All-in-one technical wall

A full-height wall integrates refrigeration, combination ovens and a concealed pantry. The stainless steel appliances blend in with the rest of the kitchen, and a push-open system ensures a flat front with no visible handles.

Framed cooking niche

At the heart of the kitchen, a caramel-coloured niche brings together the cooktop and a concealed hood. Recessed lighting in the lintel diffuses a precise light, limiting shadows for optimal cooking.

A refined user experience

In keeping with the Grolle spirit, technology is discreet: USB and 110 V sockets are only revealed when needed. The audio system is subtly integrated behind the ventilated baseboards, while general lighting is controlled by customizable scenarios.

Acoustic comfort has also been taken care of: drawers and doors benefit from a silent closing system, and the adjustable hood automatically modulates its power according to the steam detected.

The Balfour project embodies all Grolle's expertise, transforming the idea of pure elegance into a luxury kitchen where every detail is designed for use and pleasure. Between assertive minimalism and the warmth of caramel shades, this achievement offers a perfect balance for lovers of contemporary design, culinary performance and impeccable spaces.
